one thing to learn i have realized in Thailand that common sense is thrown out the window and policies are written so nobody and including government offices don't understand their own words written.
it's not doing nothing, trust me the Thai bank is investing your money on foreign banks and drawing interest with your money while they basically give no interest for loaning them the money. I have yet still to see a more expensive demand for a visa.
my first go around I used a agency and then the second year i funded my account and went to immigration and they approved it without me leaving the country and re-enter. Recently I had to leave for medical emergency while my visa expired and I used an agency and now with all the crack down on agency recently I am wondering about next year if the agency option for renewal will be available.
I use second line app. It works good for 5 dollars a month. Just download from Google store and you pick your number. I use it to call navy federal bank and social security office and VA hospital. No issues
I made my point. It's total nonsense. I know the reason behind it as stated. Common sense says everyone should have a emergency fund but it should be the same across the board and United States should demand the same in return to any Thai visa holder. The united states pays the bill for so many Thais.
I agree with you. They just need to b careful and think about all the money that is sent to Thai tru remittance. They are likely to hurt their own people. I think about mexico and number one source of income is remittance. Also phillipines would never do that because they understand the hand that feeds them. I think we have an interesting year ahead of us. Just hope they don't force me to go back to the Philippines.
