Did my 1st renewal last year in Krabi. No hand drawn map. Copy of Google map from house to immigration was good. Only photo of me inside door showing room number and photo in front of the condo sign. No TM11. A few other things as well. 65,000 baht method was used. 1 hour and 20 minutes. All done.

Glad to hear it went smoothy for you. Doing mine myself next month for the 2nd time. 1st renewal was in Krabi, now in Jomtien. Line your ducks up and it 99% it isn't a problem.

I did that a few days ago. However not everyone's experience is the same. It should be.

Yes. The 800,000 baht must stay in the bank until you can show immigration the yearly 65,000 baht method on your following renewal, and they except this method. You can spend the 65,000 or more that you bring in monthly. Just make sure it shows as an international transfer in which ever Bangkok bank you get. If you use WISE, make sure to post the funds as " long term stay"

If you can. Right after you get your NON-O retirement visa and a bank account, start sending in a minimum of 65,000 baht each month right away. Use this method to live off of for the year. When you go back to do the next renewal, then you can show immigration that you have been bringing in that monthly amount. After that you can take the 800,000 baht out and spend or invest how you like. Just continue to bring in a bare minimum of 65,000 baht monthly. I did this method when l did my 1st renewal on my own last year.
