True. DIY when it comes to anything Visa related is cheaper than any agency. I use an agency for 2 things. The 90 day reports and that stupid you have to report within 24 hours when returning from a different province or country.
The 90 days report because the on line requires some antiquated version of explorer and the 24 hour thing because the last thing I want to do is go out to immigration after a trip.
Surprised to hear the situation exists in a government school. Usually they are vastly better than private. The government schools do pay significantly more than private schools.
University courses taught in English abound. It costs about $1000 a year to work toward a diploma. Considering the cost of other courses, or border runs on a METV it's a bargain. Not to mention the amazing things you can learn. And throw in learning Thai in that tuitiocn.
based on the business' I see here that is a gross understatement! For example yesterday I spent 20 minutes at AIS teaching the clerk simple math. Cash flow? Hmmm made enough for food and tomorrows supplies. O k I am good lets close up. I seriously cannot believe some people actually have college business degrees.
Allegedly Pattaya is also enforcing it. We live in CM and ignore it for domestic travel but do report after international travel. With 5 million visitors annually to Thailand I seriously doubt anyone is going to get excited about domestic travel. International travel is marked in your passport so you want to keep that record clean and consistent on your TM 30.
I have serious qualms about your prospective employer. If they are recruiting you in your home country they should either have all their ducks in row or hire an agency that does this. You do not want to show up here and have your husband have to leave the country after 90 days. Or deal with immigration hassles. I wouldn't take the job without all visas in place for the length of your tenure. I know people who have been recruited by local colleges who have arrived only to find no job, or a job but no visa assistance. This is a nightmare you don't want to live.
