Why do we keep seeing the same questions about visa experiences in Thailand?

I am going to start this by saying thank you. Thanks for the help from Tod and others.

Now for the rest of us. If you are bored with the same questions asked and answered just move on. No need to be mean or make petty comments. The " I have had 5 back to back SETV with extension" questions are legit because the person (or acquaintance) has had that many border bounces.

The only reason this group exists ISN'T because the rules regarding visas are so obscure. It is because the enforcement is so capricious.

Tod Daniels does yeomen service here monitoring the board, researching and posting regulations.

Yet the same questions occur again and again because whenever anyone posts their experience it is with the caveat "your experience may vary". It is because of that very fact that even us who have been here a long time are asking what appear to be stupid questions.

So even people with their i's dotted and t's crossed are concerned about immigration. Returning from Penang with a non OA retirement Visa with 6 months to go on it I will admit to some concern.

People who are worried about immigration coming into a country are going to make the decision to not come or to leave.

Thailand their country, their rules. I get that. I just wish they would enforce them Nationwide. All the rules all the time.

Until then I guess Tod has a "job" which is pretty thankless. So for one I am going to say it.

Kap kun kah Tod.
