The existence of trailing spouse visas is questioned, with reports indicating that some embassies may not issue them for applicants with a Non-O visa, while they are still available in cases where the primary spouse holds a Non-OA visa. Additionally, a DTV visa includes an option for a spouse visa.
Since every embassy switched to e-visa, I haven't heard of a single one willing to sell a trailing spouse visa for another one that applied for non-O. But some will still sell a trailing spouse visa if the primary spouse gets a non-OA.
