As others have stated, there's no need to transfer your account. If your reason is to avoid paying charges to access your money, use the mobile app instead to withdraw money or go into the bank with your card and passport. If the reason is to get your annual visa letter/statement etc then they can do this at a different branch to your home branch anyway. I opened my account in Hua Hin then moved to Sriracha and the bank provided the information required for immigration in less than 10 minutes earlier this year. Good luck.
Don't waste your money with an agent if you can't meet the requirements. They cannot bribe anyone to make it happen. Just save your money and come to Thailand more often.
Do it online13 days in advance, much easier. If it's not approved go to Bluport on the day it's due. I moved address/province last month, did my 90 day report online (I now live in Hua Hin) and it was approved in 1 day.
The first thing I would do is go to the Surin amphur, to see if they will do it for you. It is usually only amphurs in tourist areas like Pattaya or Bang Rak (in Bangkok).
You will definitely need to go to the US embassy in Bangkok and then to get the documents translated then to the consular affairs department (you need appointments at all these places). You will need a translator and witnesses for the ceremony also.
I would recommend getting an agent to help (I didn't, but it would have been much simpler and probably cheaper than multiple visits to Bangkok, because it is not that expensive). Good luck.
the term 'freelancer' when used in Thailand by Farang means self employed prostitute. It is confusing because freelancer is a general term for self employed people, but in this context it means a sex worker.
Sadly I don't believe the dating app you wish for exists. There is a flip side to this, imagine being a Thai lady wanting to meet a nice farang to marry and using the dating apps, only to find mostly men looking for sex.
I think you can find a nice lady with a regular job on the dating sites, but you will need to talk to them and use some common sense.
you still need to prepare everything even if using an agent, so it's just as easy to do it yourself. I read a post by someone recently stating they had used an agent and they asked them to provide all sorts of nonsense (the agent clearly didn't know the process), obviously they were unsuccessful and just wasted their money. I would prefer to read the rules and prepare it myself so that I know it's correct. Using a Thai person for a UK process is a silly idea IMO, but if people want to waste money and fail that's up to them.
