this is how I always enter Thailand fairly simple application process and you don't need to post your passport anymore just a heads-up to the OP the financial requirements of £10k is incorrect it's actually £1k the former is for multiple entries also the insurance is no longer required despite it asking for it just screenshot the banner on the landing page
Thanks for posting unfortunately the e-visa site is so ambiguous I emailed the rte regarding some of the 14 list of documents ( Non O family single entry 90 days ) and they sent me a list of 9
No mention of insurance and clarification of the funds required
£1k for single entry, £10k for multi
I submitted my application without the insurance just took a picture of the popup that claims you only need insurance for O-A O-X & stv
Fingers crossed
So anyone put off my the £10k funds message it's only £1k
Just to add my experience which may help others I successfully obtained an non O based on family 90 days without providing insurance I just copied the text on this e-visa home page and uploaded as a jpeg my only issue was they asked for a proper bank statement and would not accept the online page I only had an older statement which fell below the required £1000 but was accepted total time from submission to approval was 36 hours
So don't be put off by the information on the site asking for $100k insurance or the £10k Bank balance
I agree with Robert 100% I would definitely do this at immigration rather than waiting to pass through the airport if it goes wrong then you have a load of trouble
I know it probably sounds like a moan but the misconceptions between visa on arrival and visa exemption are raised on a daily basis but people still call visa exemption VOA thanks to Ellie and Tod for repeatedly having to educate people lol
