60 tourist eVisa granted via UK Thai Embassy (online). 5 days in total, requested additional info for inbound flights. Minor inconvenience.

Issued overnight...All good. Worth noting that my application went back to the bottom of the pile after they requested extra info, took three days extra from that date.

I uploaded a copy of passport bio for travel history and driving licence as proof of UK residency.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of applying for a Thai tourist eVisa through the UK Embassy, highlighting a total processing time of 5 days. They mentioned that additional information was requested regarding inbound flights, which delayed their application by three days but ultimately issued the visa overnight. They uploaded documents including their passport bio and driving license as proof of UK residency. Comments from others shared insights on the ambiguity of the eVisa requirements, particularly regarding the necessity of insurance and the required funds for different visa types. One individual detailed their successful experience applying for a Non-O visa without insurance, despite initial concerns about the application requirements.

Thanks for posting unfortunately the e-visa site is so ambiguous I emailed the rte regarding some of the 14 list of documents ( Non O family single entry 90 days ) and they sent me a list of 9

No mention of insurance and clarification of the funds required

£1k for single entry, £10k for multi

I submitted my application without the insurance just took a picture of the popup that claims you only need insurance for O-A O-X & stv

Fingers crossed

So anyone put off my the £10k funds message it's only £1k

Just to add my experience which may help others I successfully obtained an non O based on family 90 days without providing insurance I just copied the text on this e-visa home page and uploaded as a jpeg my only issue was they asked for a proper bank statement and would not accept the online page I only had an older statement which fell below the required £1000 but was accepted total time from submission to approval was 36 hours

So don't be put off by the information on the site asking for $100k insurance or the £10k Bank balance
