What a pain in the ass. I could understand about them having problems with connecting flights because you'd have to go out to the counter which is on the other side of immigration if your flights are in other countries connecting. they call it a transit visa. to not no if you're going to be able to make the flights until after you've entered the airport is really stressful. Good luck to you I don't know what else you could do
for me the con is you have to go to Bangkok at 6 months each year. That's a few hundred bucks in my book that you don't have to spend on the marriage or retirement visas, you just have to file online your location every 90 days of residence in Thailand.
I take out about 20,000 which is $600 roughly little below. Don't seem to have a problem getting that out unless the ATMs are low or not functioning. they're all about the same so just find one that works. 7-Eleven has a few always
You can have them change it at the ticketing counter. I have run into strict tie interpretations of the name or names on the passport must be on the ticket and have been sent back to the ticket counter so they do match. It may also be possible to get your airline to do it online. I've all sad many times where they did not ask for the information, so the choice is yours.
then go to Google maps and search Visa agent. get on the phone and start calling them asking them how much it would cost to open a bank account with the stipulations you want and I imagine you will find success. It was about 300 total USD back in August of this year. Good luck!
it's the way it's supposed to be. if I was back in the States I would never have an issue with opening a bank account, but on the other hand I'm a citizen!
I think you are looking for a rational answer to an irrational request when I opened my Bangkok bank account in August I paid ฿6000 for an insurance policy. When I asked if I could open the account without the insurance policy, there was no response except for a steady stare. My thought would be that you need to have someone greasing the wheels. Good luck!
I've been to Vietnam Loas and Thailand in the last 4 months. Vietnam you go to the government website and whatever number of days they tell you it takes to process your Visa is what it takes to the minute almost. loas I just showed up in the airport and paid the Visa on demand fee Emma's allowed to enter the country. Thailand is the easiest: show up at the airport and got my 60 day Visa free stamp for no charge and no previous form filling. enjoy!
