Hello

I already have my DTV for soft power cooking approved few months ago.

Is it a problem if I change my mind and want to live in another city ? I will take another course in another school?

I think for reentry in airport i will not be a problem. But when you do your TM30 and you are not in the city where you supposed to be for your school?

And in the future after 6 months of school, I don't want to learn cooking for 5 years 😅 so can I switch to muay thai or workcation?

Reentry with DTV Visa.

Entered HKT airport in July 2025 for the first time on the DTV visa, immigration officer asked if I was coming in on DTV for the first time to which I politely answered yes.

I stayed for 178 days and exited via HKT for just one day to Singapore and flew to Suvarnabhumi. Planning to fly back to Phuket in a few days.

Re-entered with 40,000THB equivalent cash in my wallet in case I was turned away. Officer processed my passport with efficient precision without a flinch nor a smile and let me through with no questions asked.

I was in the priority queue and had a business class boarding pass. Not sure if this had any impact, but another data point.

Hello all.

When I first applied for a DTV in Hanoi, it was canceled, so I had to reapply, which took quite a long time. While waiting for the result of the reapplication, I received news that a family member in Thailand was ill, so I entered Thailand. In the meantime, the DTV I had reapplied for was approved. In this situation, can I still use this visa? Can I leave to a third country by land and then re-enter Thailand using this DTV?

I got my dtv soft power a couple months ago, I’m planning a short trip out the country and I was wondering if I’ll be able to get in no problem.

Along with this I was wondering what I need to do after the first 6 months are over( my trip would be before the 6 months ). I could be wrong but do I need updated documents once the initial 180 days are over and I fly out and back into Thailand

Update: Got pulled to the side at airport. Warned that they will not accept such visa trips anymore. So was left in with warning that next time only visa, if I want to stay longer then 2 months. So I guess, the visa renewal trips will get harder in future.

I only showed rental contract after the red button was pushed. Because they did not ask about hotel etc, and no question asked about contract.

And in Vietnam, all was checked for onward ticket out of Thailand. About 10 people was pulled aside, some made it throu after paying expensive tickets (onwardticket was to slow) others did not board plane.

^^

I know there are no real answer to this, and it's down to immigration officer.

But I wounder if peoples have been denied entry under same conditions.

Every year, I visit Thailand from January to April. And last 2 years also 1 month in October.

Before I used 60 days tourist visa with extension by immigration office or fly out on 4-5 days trip.

I rent all year apartment because it gives better renting options and I avoid alot of fuss dragging luggage.

I'm currently in Vietnam, and returning today after 4 days trip. For new 60 days.

I have returning ticket to Norway 29 April, so within the new 60 days.

I have rental contract and 20.000thb in cash when entering.

I have zero overstay or any problem with police/immigration. Or never late on renewal

Anyone been denied reentry on such conditions?

Also, what agents/price that offers guarantees on reentry 60 day exemption.

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all doing great. I have encountered some visa issues and would greatly appreciate it if anyone with similar experience could provide some insight and advice.

I left Thailand last Friday after a 60-day stay in Phuket and would like to reenter the country as soon as possible. I applied for an E-Visa on Sunday and it’s still pending approval. The reason why I applied for an E-visa despite having a 60-day visa exemption for my passport is because the immigration officer told me to do so the last time I reentered the country just a few days after my departure.

I do have a prior commitment that requires me to get back to Phuket as soon as possible. Do you think I should just try to fly into the country before my E-visa is approved, hoping to get another 60-day visa exemption? Or do you think I should really wait until the E-visa is approved?

All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

I entered Thailand by air on visa exemption in January. I did 2 land border runs, also visa exemptions in March and May. I recently applied for an education visa but it may not get processed in time before my most recent visa exemption stamp expires. Will I be allowed to exit and reenter Thailand again?

Hi folks - I am on a 90 days tourist visa (60 and extended 30 more days). Once my 90 days visa is completed: is it ok to exit country... and come back couple of days later with another 30 days ?

Hey, if I fly from bangkok to Laos (Vientiane), and enter the country through the land border an hour later, is that problematic (is it bad to reenter so fast)?

Or is it better to stay a night in Laos? Does it really matter?

This will be the 3rd time im entering thailand this year.
