I'm on the marriage extention and once ya done the first one it's a piece of piss going through the paperwork plus the money for your bank doesn't have to be international transfer.you only have to show 3months statements and update your bank book on t day ya submitting the extention.all these who are sayin its harder than the retirement ex probably use agents anyway.believe me it's a walk in the park to get the marriage ex.
everyone as different reasons for visa and long stays in Thailand my personal choice was the non-o marriage.was easy for me as already had most things in place ie bank accounts wife had her own home.yes there a little more to do for extentions but once ya done one it becomes easy im lucky in away as all immigration offices have their own rules and needs to apply for extentions in my province they are helpfull and don't ask for as requirements as many others.good luck when ya do come its a bit nerve racking but ya will get there and after think what was all the fuss about plus ya only need 400,000 baht and don't aft to prove its from international deposits like ya do with the retirement non-o extentions
From all the 90 day report I did all have been straight forward and simple but I filed my last one last week and it got rejected twice for incorrect arrival and exit dates but I know they was correct and the third attempt it got approved.also I have travelled many many times using different hotels in different provinces and this as never affected my approvals.ive also read from other expats that have been mysteriously rejected and just kept reapplying and got approvals and that the online system as been acting up.
I've just got mine approved after two rejections I know I was putting the right dates in.i saw an earlier post to keep applying if rejected so I did and got approved on the third attempt.
