if you're married to a thai they usually 'make' you take that extension rather than the 'raising half thai children' one.
The financial requirements are nearly the same, for a marriage extension the 400k baht needs to be in your account for 2 months before you apply for the year extension but for the raising thai children extension there is no seasoning of the 400K baht.
Both yearly extensions are paperwork, document, photo intensive & both get first a 30 day under consideration stamp then they do an in home visit and then you go back when that stamp runs out and get the rest of the 11 months extension inked in.
It's 6 with one, half a dozen with the other.
