What should I do if my 90-day report submitted by post hasn't been acknowledged yet?

I sent a 90 day report by registered post on 12 March enclosing all documents listed on the immigration website and a stamped addressed envelope. I sent it to the address stated on the website. On the Thai Post tracking website it says it was delivered to Laksi post office. I sent it over a week before the due date. I haven't received anything back yet and the reporting window has passed. I tried phoning the numbers on the website but the 1178 one just says sorry all our agents are busy please call back later before hanging up and the other one says "for English press 1" and then starts talking in Thai and hangs up. I sent an email but no reply. Of course, the obvious solution is to slog it up to Chaengwattana but the whole point of doing it by post was to avoid that. Any suggestions? This was the first 90 day report at this address, this passport and this entry.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about not receiving confirmation of their 90-day report sent via registered post to the immigration office. They sent the report on March 12 but the reporting window has passed without a response. Despite attempts to contact the immigration office by phone and email, they have not received any assistance. Community comments suggest that reports must be sent at least 15 days before the due date, and that first-time 90-day reports must be submitted in person. Members recommend going to the immigration office in person or using the online portal for future reports, as postal submissions can be unreliable.

I sent my last report two weeks prior to the due date. I waited until three weeks after the due date before going to Chaengwattana with a photo of my report in its envelope with postal stamp and receipt. They printed it out in about 10 seconds. Unfortunately I had to wait nearly two hours to get my number called. Then, two months after sending my documents, I received my documents back. It's way easier to just use the web portal, but I had to use mail as I had a change of address.

why don't you do it online? Very easy - no hassle at all

@Matthew *******
can you attempt online or go to immigration building B?
David ********
Just go into the immagration office how hard can it be. Wouldn't trust the post for this important task. First time in person after that online no stress

just do it online how hard can it be...

In Bangkok it's a pain for many to hike to CW just for a 90 day report. I do it by mail every time. In about eight years works every time. Relying on post is irrelevant. The mail is tracked

@Jim *******
keep doing it this way. Seems to me it's easier than going in person to me

When reporting by post your meant to send it off 15 days before your reporting date. I've no idea how they deal with reports posted later than this.
Colin ********
Also your FIRST 90 report always needs to be in person not by post or online
Kim *********
@Colin *******
no that's not true. I read in this group that it is fine to do the 1st reporting online so I did that and it was approved 2 hours later! This was immi Udon Thani
Gary **********
It use to be udon but now have their own office

@Colin *******

I was informed at Changwattana this is, why my online 90 was, rejected
Tod *********
@Colin *******
yep, C/W you have to do it in person (or by mail 😛 ) the first time.

@Tod ********
i thought post was ok for "the first time"? Just not online....
Daniel *****
@Jonas ************
it should be. I did it this way but it took quite some time to get the feedback
Tod *********
@Jonas ************
post is totally fine for first time in Bangkok,

Some offices don't take 90 day reports by post though so check with your office
Colin ********
Needs to be 15 days BEFORE the due date.

@Colin *******
as a rule when you apply by mail the packet has to be post marked at least 2 weeks before the actual due date.. I have had people send it later (they got the 90 day report approved) but there was a stamp that says apply 2 weeks early by post or something on the receipt

Online Reporting is definitly the easiest and get an answer via Website when Approved or Rejected 👍
Jim ********
@Native ***************
Problem is if it's rejected, you have the long hike up to CW. Doing it by mail 15 days out, it's 100%

Mine was posted one week before the due date and I still have the post office receipt so I think the best thing to do is wait for the acceptance or rejection. I notice that the immigration website has recently been updated to make this rule clearer.

last reports were it takes almost six WEEKS to get the 90 day report slip back by return post when you do a report by mail at Chaengwattana.

You know when you sent it, you know when it was delivered (as the EMS tracking number would show that) AND you know when the report was due, so you have a rough idea when your next one would be due as well 🙂

I wouldn't do anything unless you don't get the receipt before your NEXT report would be due, THEN I'd go out, show them the delivery confirmation on the previous one and file that next report in person 🙂

@Tod ********
this is right; I have had it take over a month before.

I really wish we could get rid of this stuff....

Rules have never been clear. "The first time" as apparently meant different things previously. Now it means every time after entry.

And supposedly you can do it by post but first time but some people reporting that that is not allowed?
Tod *********
@Jonas ************
some offices don't allow 90 day reports by post,

Now a LOT of people get denied online with the first report after coming back from abroad and have the reason in the email say "first report when returning from abroad must be made in person"
Steve *********
@Tod ********
Exactly. I submitted my report online 5 times and got the same response every time so my wife did it for me using an appointment that I had made as a plan B a month earlier.

thank you for that image 🙂
