Happened to me once, I had it begrudgingly changed in Chonburi with a warning, next time I'd have to go back to the airport. Lesson learned 😛

 It happened to me several years ago, I went to Pattaya immigration when I realized and they told me that this time they would change it, but next time I'd have to go back to the airport.

 I was under the impression that you needed cash in the event that the I.O. requested proof on arrival in Thailand.
