Happened to me once, I had it begrudgingly changed in Chonburi with a warning, next time I'd have to go back to the airport. Lesson learned 😛

 It happened to me several years ago, I went to Pattaya immigration when I realized and they told me that this time they would change it, but next time I'd have to go back to the airport.

 I was under the impression that you needed cash in the event that the I.O. requested proof on arrival in Thailand.

Hopefully he doesn't get stopped before the airport and found to have overstayed. That could potentially lead to a MUCH bigger problem. 🤔
