I have gotten a Non-immigrant O multiple entry visa outside of Thailand for years. It was a one year visa, but you had to leave the Kingdom after 90 days and then reenter to get another 90 day stamp. You could repeat this process for one year. Hopefully this visa is still available.
James Miller, thank you for the information. It looks very similar to what the Thai Consulate requires here in the US. I will probably obtain a visa prior to my trip to Vietnam. The financial requirements have always been reasonable, so I hope that remains the same.
James Miller, yes I was aware that it was closed. I am planning to return to Udon Thani after two years away from my Thai family. I have always obtained a Non-immigrant O multiple entry visa for the past 15 years and have done my border run to Nong Khai and then into Laos. I could go back now, but it is sounding like many of the covid restrictions will be eliminated by mid year. I will be flying to Vietnam where I will spend some time preparing for entry into Thailand. Hopefully by then most of the covid restrictions will be gone.
James Miller, sorry but where did you see that Nong Khai/ Laos border will open soon? I have been waiting two years for that to happen since I always had a Non-immigrant O visa and would use that land border to renew my 90 days.
