TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling to Thailand in April can still be worthwhile despite the heat and potential rain. Visitors can enjoy the Songkran festival, known for its water festivities, and wildlife enthusiasts may find great opportunities in national parks as animals gather near lakes for water. However, the heat can be intense, especially in places like Phuket, so it's advisable to stay hydrated, spend time in the sea, and use air conditioning at night.

Very hot you need to be in the sea all day and aircon all night !

April is great time for certain things it all depends on what you want.
You got Songkran can be great fun.
National parks with lakes are great also as lots of wildlife moves towards the lakes for water. Best chance for wildlife spotters.
