I have always had a one year Non-immigrant O, multiple entry for many years. One of the stumbling blocks is doing a border run every 90 days. I used to drive up to Nong Khai and cross the border into Laos, but with the land borders being closed I can no longer do that. It has been almost two years since I have seen my Thai family. No easy way to enter and remain in Thailand at the moment.
Michael Dawson, for the past 15 years I have entered Thailand on a Non-immigrant multiple entry O visa based on being married to a Thai national. I had to leave the country every 90 days for a year to obtain another 90 day stamp. Since I live in Udon Thani, it was an easy drive to Nong Khai where I would cross into Laos and then turn right back again into Thailand. It would take about 45 minutes for the entire process and then I would drive back down to Udon Thani. Now that the border is closed, that puts an end to an otherwise easy border run. I am hoping things return to the good old days in the not so distant future.
A little difficult making border runs now since the land borders are closed. I did it for 15 years and will probably do it again once the land borders open. The unknown is what will be the requirements to get back into Thailand from Laos.
