Why was my post deleted without letting me know the reason?

I've asked if I can enter the Kingdom on a visa exemption and then apply for a 90 days Non Immi O visa in the country.

, referring to METV: I like to stay approx. 110 days without leaving the country.

You might want to adjust your plans. Meeting the requirements for a non O visa isn’t that simple, such as putting
*****
0 THB in a bank. The STV that James mentioned will give you the 110.

@Ke***
, do the 800k have to be on my Thai bank account?
Kevin ***********
@Heinz **********
For an in-country non o, yes. And as a foreign transfer.

Thanks James.

So I could also enter on exemption and get, say after 2 weeks, a 90 days Non Immi O on retirement but not stay the whole 90 days?
Ellie *******
@Heinz **********
it is possible as long as you meet the requirements for an in-country Non-O visa.
Ellie *******
right

@El***
, to make sure πŸ˜ƒ I can enter on a visa exempt and then apply for Non-O with all necessary papers/money, right?
James ********
Yep...good to know we both have the same tech problem...

Another option...

A Multi-entry tourist visa...

Gives you 60 days on arrival plus a 30 day extension = 90 days...

And IF YOU LEAVE AND RETURN to Thailand you get another 60+30= 90 days.

Risk is the Thai neighbor countries land borders being opened to bounce out and back as before COVID.

Nong Khai/Laos border is said to reopen soon.

@James *******
is this visa currently available?
James ********
@Ray **********
not yet. It was available preCovid at both Vientianne Laos and in Vietnam Thai Embassy/Consulate.

We are watching for reports of it though here at Thai Visa Advice.
Richard *******
James Miller, sorry but where did you see that Nong Khai/ Laos border will open soon? I have been waiting two years for that to happen since I always had a Non-immigrant O visa and would use that land border to renew my 90 days.
James ********
@Richard ******
Richard Kappe while in Vietnam

Visit the Thai Embassy website

Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City

They offered same Non O Married one year Multi-entry visa as Savannaket.

But...we do not yet know if that visa will be available as was preCovid...with no financial proof of 400,000 Thb in a Thai bank account

Ho Chi Minh City still shows the one year Multi-entry visa...

James Miller, thank you for the information. It looks very similar to what the Thai Consulate requires here in the US. I will probably obtain a visa prior to my trip to Vietnam. The financial requirements have always been reasonable, so I hope that remains the same.
James ********
@Richard ******
its not open yet. Its in the planning stage with Thai/Laos.

Discussed among first ones to open.

Hopefully by midyear.
Richard *******
James Miller, yes I was aware that it was closed. I am planning to return to Udon Thani after two years away from my Thai family. I have always obtained a Non-immigrant O multiple entry visa for the past 15 years and have done my border run to Nong Khai and then into Laos. I could go back now, but it is sounding like many of the covid restrictions will be eliminated by mid year. I will be flying to Vietnam where I will spend some time preparing for entry into Thailand. Hopefully by then most of the covid restrictions will be gone.

@James *******
METV is 60 days on arrival (plus 30 days with extension)
James ********
@Kevin **********
correct. Thank you.

My fellow Mod Ellie also sent a pm to me..I corrected my reply.

Maybe you just got caught in the ether, it can happen to some people πŸ‘

No, James, I have not blocked you.

Strange also me I cannot answer to you directly. Nor can I like your post/answer.

I though maybe I could enter on a exemption and the get 90 days.

No, I'm neither married nor father of a Thai child.
James ********
Heinz... May I ask ?

Do you have me BLOCKED ?

I cannot reply directly to your replies

Only can post a new reply.
Joe ***********
@James *******
If you were blocked you wouldn't be able to see his message or his profile at all
James ********
@Joe **********
thanks...

I cannot see his profile.

As Moderator I can see posts...and reply on a post. But for some reason cannot reply to his posted replies .
Joe ***********
@James *******
That's strange. He seems appreciative of your help so doubt he would block. Perhaps a glitch on Facebook
James ********
@Joe **********
yep...stange quirk.

But I await his reply.
James ********
If you are only staying 110 days...

Lets see what visa options you have..

You say Non O...

Are you married to Thai or father of Thai child?

A Non O for retirement will only give you 90 days on arrival.

A STV Visa will give you up to 270 days stay...90+90+90=270

Thank you, James! πŸ™πŸ½

No pm received. Anyhow. ✌🏽

I'm early retired and want to stay around 110 days.
James ********
I have no clue why...I checked our database and do not see a declined post. And most times when a post is declined a pm message is sent in reply with the reason or referral to a forum for answer. Suggest you check your pm to see if a reply was sent to you.

The answer to your question is a simple YES ...

We have no clue on what basis you are asking about getting a Non O.....is it for Retirement,

Married to Thai...Father of Thai child...or ????

After you arrive into Thailand visit your local immigration office and ask for their list of visa and extension requirements.

With over 70+ offices...the requirements may vary ...ask yours.
