I am currently in Ho Chi Minh City. I have an appointment at the Thai Consulate next month. Will I be able to get a Non-immigrant O visa for Thailand? I am married to a Thai national and have a 12 year old son.

Hello
@Richard ******
I am curious how your experience was at HCMC Thai Consulate. Is it still possible to buy the non-O Multiple Entry visa there? Thanks in advance!

@Greg *******
I got multiple entry Non-O there in 2018 & 2019. Quick and easy if all your documents are correct.

Thank you for the info, Gary! Hoping it is still the same now 😆 Per the HCMC consulate website it is still an option. Anyway, thanks again for the helpful info

I did it in Savannakhet in August and quick and easy there too. Cheaper as well.

Yeah Savannakhet certainly appears to be more economical. Did you have to show any funds in Thai bank, or was your home country’s bank balance acceptable? Thanks and sorry for so many questions, but hard to find sure answers on consulate websites

@Greg *******
Didn't have to show any funds in a thai bank account or from home country. When I did it in HCMC previously, same, didn’t have to show funds.

Thank you very much, Gary. Have a nice weekend.

Thank you and I have read the requirements but nowhere does it state if you have to show money. Is it like Laos where you do not have to show money as well?
Steve *******
@Richard ******
Yes, like Savannakhet, no finances needed and multi-entry avaliable.

You may be thinking of an OA visa? How much money do you have to show?
Brandon ************
@Richard ******
you can only get an OA visa in your home country.

I am talking about a Non-immigrant O visa, not OA.
