it’s fine and has always been the case. It’s all just a formality and you wouldn’t even know it was done.

No idea about AirBnB as last I heard Thailand was trying to outlaw it as the hotels got angry about it.

If you’re doing Airbnb just ask the question as it should be a no brainer really.

Like mentioned above just put down your first point of stay and then don’t worry about it.

You only need to put in your first point of accommodation and every time you change hotels the hotel you are staying at will report you to local immigration.

If you rent a place then the landlord should also report you to immigration as a formality.

in all my time I’ve only been asked once and that was before I was married and I didn’t have a visa either. Now that I’m married and get a spouse non o visa I have never been asked as it’s not a requirement.

As mentioned previously you need to attach a PDF file of payment of accommodation or a letter from your landlord with a lease agreement. Just putting down an address or hotel is not considered proof.

nice. I’m currently in Melbourne and about to start a short project. Maybe Christmas but it’ll depend on work.

@Michael *******
best option is to just get an extension from immigration.

I didn’t say it was easy just an option and not a good one.

have you been to Ao Nang, Krabi? If you like those other locations I think you’d like it there also. Very laid back.

there are a few options but would depend on you and your wife’s ages.

I think I read somewhere about buying a property in Thailand can also help with visas.

All I suggest is go in with an open mind and do your homework.

Do you know where in Thailand you’ll be looking to settle?

You could fly to Singapore but would then need to apply for another COE to re-enter Thailand and do the whole quarantine or sandbox again once you return. Major pain in the ass.
