Ok guys. Here’s my problem. My COE keeps coming back with the same rejection. This is what it says

Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C. has rejected your registration/application.

Due to Please provide Certificate of Residence or proof of residence in Thailand (if any).

I have tried putting in hotel address , tried it with nothing in box and also put in address that I will be renting

Can you please tell me what are they looking for.

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is experiencing repeated rejections of their Certificate of Entry (COE) application due to a lack of proof of residence in Thailand. Respondents suggest that the user must provide tangible evidence, such as a copy of a fully paid hotel booking, rental agreement, or a letter from a landlord, rather than just listing an address. Clarifications on residency requirements are provided, including insights for those staying with partners or using hotels for their quarantine.

Are you a Certificate of residence holder?

If so, upload that book.

If not, select other visa type such as ‘long stay’ ‘oa’ ‘exempt’

I’m not certificate resident. I do have an O A permit which is what I selected on the page. There is nothing saying other. Or Exempt

When they asked me for a certificate of Residence, I uploaded my rental contract and the condo management company wrote a letter stating that I am a resident of the condo complex and will be until 2022. It was approved in a couple of hours.

On your COE application there are 2 spots. One is asking for Thai residence. That is for returning Thai nationals as how it was explained to me. The other section before it was for your hotel. I was told to leave the residence section blank because it didn't apply to me.

Does it say "if any"? Does that mean if you don't have it you don't put it? Hotel is not residence

What visa are you entering on? Where are you landing in Thailand? Likely they want to see proof of payment for your ASQ or SHA+ accommodation.

in that case if you are a citizen of the country you are applying from just upload your passport info page, if you're visiting that country then show your visa.

As mentioned previously you need to attach a PDF file of payment of accommodation or a letter from your landlord with a lease agreement. Just putting down an address or hotel is not considered proof.

that's what I do mate. I use my wife's home address, well my home address when I'm here lol. If your living or staying with her use that address. That's what I used on my COE.

Hey, for ours we uploaded the actual PDF file of our (prepaid) hotel booking - I think we had to put it in the supporting documents bit but they seemed fine with that! Hope this helps

They want to see PROOF, you need to upload a document that shows what they are asking for. Just putting in an address does nothing. You need to send them the fully paid booking for your quarantine or SHA hotel.

Proof of Residence would be a copy of the Hotel booking confirmation I would think.
