They are not closing accounts, provided your SIM card's name matches your account name. I opened mine at Bangkok Bank around 10 years ago, funds were always transfered from my Swiss account. Clean clear...
And, BTW, some people wrote that if the phone number registered in your bank is not in your name, the bank will "close your account and keep the money"... FAKE ! the bank will just suspend the Mobile Banking...
