Thanks, we are going to try, I've never been asked for proof of residence in Bangkok but that was 2 years ago! Just lazy to do a border run, but if Bangkok is a no no too it will be phetchabun immigration on Monday!
Phetchabun, but I live in the middle of the sticks and it's about a 2 hour drive to the immigration office and we are spending a few nights in Bangkok before we head back home, we arrive in Bangkok at 5am in the morning and we can't check into our hotel till 12 so I thought it might be easier just get the extension out of the way in the morning
I just asked at my local amphur what they required before going to Bangkok and I believe that some Amphurs require you get your Thai visa and entry stamps translated too
I know that each amphur have different rules but I got married last week in lomsak, phetchabun and I didn't need my passport translated and certified, just the affirmation to marry, translated and certified by the mofa so it's best to check with the ampher you plan to married at first to see what they require and believe you me Amphurs over here have different rules, might save yourself a few baht too
