I'm currently on a multi non o because I have a Thai child but I'm getting married soon and I earn way over the 40000 baht a month requirement for 1 year extension based on marriage, I work online and my salary comes from China but I have no work permit. Would I be able to get a 1 year extension based on marriage earning over 80k a month with my money coming from China? I live in the sticks so no need to worry about a work permit BTW!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is currently on a Non-O visa and is marrying a Thai national. They earn over 80,000 baht a month from online work based in China but lack a Thai work permit. Questions arise about the eligibility for a one-year extension based on their marriage and foreign income. Responses indicate that, while it is possible to use foreign income to meet the financial requirements, a notarized affidavit from their embassy is necessary to validate such income. The embassy may require proof of income through contracts and bank statements. Therefore, the key step is obtaining this affidavit to satisfy the immigration office's criteria.

I'm also from UK and working here teaching English on a non o multiple entry based on marriage. I might be keen teaching online in the future but most companies want American teachers, not British.
As long as your embassy writes the income letter it doesnt matter if your work money comes from abroad. I have my salary from Sweden and non o visa from within Thailand. Going for the 1 year extension this month now.
, you shouldn't have a problem getting the letter from the UK consulate and using it to meet the financial requirements for your extension once your married.
If your contract shows what your income will be, and your bank statements show that money arriving, then yes, I think they will give you the affidavit. Best way to know for sure is to call them and ask.
You can't use the income from abroad to meet the financial requirements without showing the notarized affidavit of income from abroad from your consulate.
Let's leave the work permit issue out of it for the time being, that's neither here nor there as far as getting your extension. ;)
you would have to get a notary letter from your consulate stating you get over the 40K baht a month income from abroad. You would give that to the immigration office to meet the financial requirement.
