What you may have seen regarding not needing financial evidence because you’re a woman is likely to be for an extension of stay (processed inside Thailand, not at an embassy abroad) based on marriage to a Thai national. A foreign man married to a Thai woman does need to show finances, but a foreign woman married to a Thai man does not.

I’m not sure if you’re unmarried due to a particular

life choice, or you just haven’t got round to it, don’t think it’s necessary etc but for the future if you’re going to be living in Thailand it will certainly make your visa/residency issues a lot easier if you are married.

Screaming at the officials you’re asking for a visa from probably isn’t the best idea anyone ever had.

And you can do exactly the same thing again, just without the lawyer.
