I would love to teach in Thailand too, but that “not over 50” seems to be the thing preventing me from doing so.

yes. Not everyone can teach, even those who are taught to do so :-). I had numerous teachers throughout my schooling who had no place being in those positions.

some people are capable of teaching without a teaching degree or training. I have over a decade of teaching experience and I’ve never been taught to teach (although I have taught others to do so).

no. She can do an extension to get another 30, then would need to do a border run to stay longer OR get a 60 day visa with extension as others have noted.

ikr? I’ve received so much help from the folks who donate a tremendous amount of time here. Sure, there are some trolls whom I could do without, but the great helpers make the annoyance well worth tolerating.

Your current phone doesn’t accommodate multiple SIMs? My phone allows for 4 eSIMs plus a regular SIM. Are you sure you need a separate phone? sounds cumbersome.

IF you are going to buy a separate phone, you should wait until you’re here. Some local apps don’t work on foreign phones.

This is another way to extend. After you’ve studied Thai and Muay Thai, there’s a possibility you could take transferable courses at a Thai University. It’s also possible you might not as the Thai may see that you are trying to live in Thailand, but it’s possible you can.
