If you have a non-imm O you have to go to Immigration after say 2,5 months to apply for extended stay. After that the first time you do your 90 day report, the nest ones can be done electronically. Might be the same for DTV?
what kind of answer is thar? He asked if he can legally carry 1000 pounds to Britain. Great to be informed about the siffer-dogs, though. Any special breed I should look out for. Cheers, I mean no harm I just want people to read the question before they answer. Have a good one! (Yankee for all the best)🌴🥸
Yes I am fully aware of the reality here. I have worked on quite a no of projects here in Thailand, also countries like China and Russia and bribery-wise you dont´t get away from that unscathed. What bugs me are all those entitled persons who assume that everything should be lined up for them. Unfortunately they are often proven right. Which was my point; why bother pointing them in that direction? I know I am a grumpy old geezer and feel entitled to being so.
To use an agent equals bribery. Not everyone would appriciate this. And honestly; what the f… Why the complaints? As you say, it is a tourist visa, at the moment a good one at that, and if they later choose to stay longterm they will of course be able to open an acct. But at the moment they are just water under the bridge. Why bother letting them have alle the fringes and avoid the costs? Suggesting bribery is perhaps not the right thing to do.
Went to IO (Chonburi) yesterday to register TM30 that I wanted to try to open acc. Arrived on a non-imm O and need the acc to prove my monthly installments. Explained this to the IO, was properly dressed (which I am sure is important - no flip-flops, shorts or Tees!) Had not expected this but ended up with a letter from IO to bank telling them to open an acc for me. All in one day. I´d post pic of the letter but don´t know how to «white-out» personal info.
if anybody you do not know calls you «buddy» and mentions «financial advisor» in the same sentence I would turn around, walk another way. I came here first time 46 yrs ago, alternated between 5 star hotels and giant per diems when working, and sleeping on dirt floors or wobbly wooden ones in jungle or Klong Thoey slum when out of business. Come and try it out, your hard-earned Baht are more than enough to keep you going, try to make some thai friends though, they´ll help you out when they understand that just like them you have limited resources. As for women? I dunno. Been living with the same one for more than 30 years and she treats me well. «I´ve go a women way up town, and she treats me well».
Oh, the bliss of sweet ignorance! Don´t mean to be rude, but basic formal education for a Thai-born chef is at the least three years. My wife only has the basics from Thai vocational college, but she can still smell if the paste has been added before the coconut cream (or the other way around, I tend to forget). Try teaching that or how long different herbs should be pound to get the correct chemical processes to a farang. My guess is that the horticultural practices and more might take a wee bit more than 180 days. Bon apetite!
Does this mean that I (as a Norwegian citizen) can apply directly for an extension based on age or marriage with an affidavit from the Norwegian Embassy based on the 65K without the first year based on 800K? Thank you.
