Do I need a new TM30 receipt for my non-O retirement extension renewal this year?

About to renew my non o retirement extension and hearing that TM 30 receipt is needed this year. Is this just the white slip of paper clipped into passport confirming my address that I always give them a copy of each year? Or do I have to get some new piece of paper this year?

Basically has anything new been added to the requirements since 1 year ago?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing your NON-O retirement extension, you will need to provide a current TM30 receipt, confirming your address registration. Although this isn’t a brand-new requirement, the immigration office may have changed their enforcement of it. It's important to ensure that your TM30 is up to date and ideally dated after your most recent entry into Thailand. Requirements can also vary by location, so checking with your specific immigration office for any local updates is advisable.

Lots of people that have lived here for a few years were originally registered under the TM28 system by landlords with more than one condo/apartment in their complex. Everything now has moved to the TM30 form, so lots are being asked for a new TM30 on their next extension. I was registered under the old TM28 form, and asked for a new TM30 next extension because of this.

Best to go to Room 103 at the Phuket Town office and ask for the handout for the latest requirements. Your TM30 needs to be “current”. That means dated later than your last entry to Thailand or dated later than your last stay in a hotel.

The drive thru at Phuket will update it in a few minutes.

(I know the OP is based in Phuket).

I had to get a proof of address done for driving license renewal last September, other than that I have not left Thailand or stayed anywhere other than my own home for years. So presumably my TM 30 is current? I’m just wanting to avoid 3 visits to immigration this week. 😉

You’ll be fine for the TM30 then.

for all services and applications on almost every Immigration, you need to be properly TM30 registered, or Immigration won't service you

This is not a new requirement. The majority of the immigration offices always ask proof of the TM30 report . Since nothing is ever 100% the same in Thailand some immigrations did not asked it on all.occasions. yours might just changed that recently as i understand.

You need to go and ask the immigration office you will use. They can all be slightly different and the requirements at each office can change from one year to the next. Mine requires a fresh TM30 is filed when I apply for my annual extension

Yes, that’s the required TM.30 receipt. In general there’s no known new requirement for extension this year, but the requirements varies slightly between immigrations and for any local changes you’ll need to check with your specific immigration.

Tore Valberg It depends on how you do the registration. If it is done electronically you will get a screenshot or receipt. If it is done manually you will get such a receipt in your passport. I don't think I have mentioned the 90-day report either.

Tore Valberg when you apply for a 1-year Extension of Stay, Immigration will update your TM30 from their system, they will print out a new TM30 receipt, ask you to sign it, and then they will cut the lower part off and clip it into your passport. By these means, they ensure that in a random police check, the policeman makes sure that you are properly registered TM30

There are TWO white slips from Immigration in my passport. ONE is the 90-days report slip with the date when the next 90-days report is due. And THE OTHER is the TM30 receipt. When you exit Thailand, normally at the border both slips are removed . . since there now are automated gates, the slips will remain in your passport but both will be invalid on your next entry. As coming from abroad, you will need to newly register per TM30, and the 90-days report clock starts at zero

I think it varies between immigrations whether they require a new updated TM.30 for the same address when you apply for an extension. But it is this TM.30 receipt you get in your passport that they are looking for.
