the LTR Visa and the Smart Visa - the LTR which is six months old has a specific category for remote workers. Onerous requirements but it exists.

Yes, and the only thing that has changed since is the introduction of the Smart and LTR visas. They generally don't care as long as you're not taking a Thai job .... except for when they do.

No work permitted means literally that - you cannot legally work on a retirement visa. As others have said, though, keep it on the down low and you will likely never have a problem, even if it is illegal.

Business people can enter on a Non-Imm B and conduct business - attend meetings etc, but they can't work. Op is living here and working in Thailand - an appropriate visa and WP is required. However, in practice, we know what local authorities care and don't care about.

Should still be next day but the challenge level is getting an appointment and some of them can be booked out weeks in advance.

Colonel, the agent directly across from Immigration Airport can sort the residency certificate out for 1k. As for the DLT, no choice but to do that in person.

While noting I'm not an expert and the extension of stay stamps may well have variations per office, that extension of stay is significantly different to any stamp I've had over the years. There is usually several lines above but it could be the specific office. Also, unless L at the top of your pic might stand for LTR visa, the visa class is usually included in the extension stamp.

which is required to file a TM30. You also cant extend a visa at an immigration office that you are not registered (via TM30) as residing in.
