 6 day overstay is 3k fine, extend your visa by 30 day at immigration is 1,900 baht. Why wouldn't you renew?

 if they question you then you should have 20k baht on you, flight out of Thailand within the visa/exempt period, and proof of accommodation. Even then it doesn't guarantee you entry.

 he's Indian, not Spanish, so he needs either a tourist visa or get a visa on arrival, which is for 30 days and costs 2k baht I believe
