How easy is getting internet in your condo (12 month contract)? Paying water / electricity?

From what I’ve read that internet availability is really based on your condo. For electricity and water I read you can possibly pay at your condo, online or at 7/11

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Getting internet in a condo in Thailand depends largely on the specific building. Most condos will have internet options readily available; it's advisable to check with your building's management about what providers are offered. Payment for electricity is typically received through a mailbox with a QR code for convenient scanning, while water bills are usually paid at the condo's juristic office. Internet bills can also be paid online or through banking apps. It's recommended to establish a Thai bank account, as it's necessary for various transactions and paying utilities.

I live in Naklua which is adjacent to Pattaya. From what I understand Pattaya has modern internet which is not available to me. I have to go through some small company that resells some second-rate internet service. The service is sufficient to do video calls at 2:00 in the morning, I haven't tried during peak times but I would not be surprised if it had issues.

My phone works pretty good. 4G is actually better if its fast enough, in that, it tends to have fast up and down, while 5G has slow up but really fast down (video calls work utilize up and down).

Hence, you will want to shop around neighborhoods if internet is important to you. Internet is probably available everywhere and most of it is fast enough to do email. When shopping around know what you require.

Paying other bills... You can do it yourself or often times the people in the condo's office will do it for you for a small fee (30B). I find it easier just to pay them. Also, you can pay some/all of that stuff online, still find it easier to pay the staff in the office.

Be sure the condo will allow you to install your own Wi-Fi. Not all will. Most condos have Wi-Fi, but it’s not strong enough for all the users. Condos also have water and electric together and can be paid via a scan with your thai bank. Since you said for a year, you’ll have a bank account as it’s required for your visa. Just ask a lot of questions at the condo and try their free Wi-Fi.

water need to pay to juristic condo, both internet & electricity bill can use bank apps to scan QR or shopping apps like shopee/lazada to pay

Usually pay water at the juristic person office in your building.

Electric will be in your mailbox and will have a QR Code that you can scan to pay.

Internet should be pretty easy too, just ask your juristic person what company or companies are available in the building, if they don't already have flyers in the lobby.

You definitely want to make getting a Thai bank account a priority if you don't have one.

Kasikorn Bank has a phone app, you can pay internet ,phone and power bills directly with your phone from your kbank account. Will need to request it and have it activated at your branch after downloading it.

You can actually activate the app yourself at the kasikorn atm. Be aware you need the passport number of the passport you opened the account with. It changes with a new passport every 10 years.

SCB too, I'm guessing most banks offer this.
