## Hello everyone! Thanks for accepting me, admins!

# I have a question regarding the Thailand tourist visa.

I hold an Indian passport but I live in Barcelona, Spain and have a temporary residency here.

I will be flying from Barcelona to Bangkok in a few months. My question is, where do I need to apply for a visa? Or am I eligible for a visa on arrival? Thanks a lot in advance for reading my post. 😍🤩

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, holding an Indian passport and living in Spain, inquired about the process for obtaining a tourist visa for Thailand, specifically asking whether to apply in Spain and if eligible for a visa on arrival. Responses indicated that Spain allows visa-free entry for 45 days, and it was recommended to apply for a visa in Spain for an extended stay. Some suggested considering a multiple entry tourist visa for a stay close to 9 months.

I lived in Ethiopia but got visa exempt entry due to UK passport, so I assume you get VOA not visa exempt. So if you're hoping to stay more than 30 days try for a tourist visa in Spain.

So, if you have residency in Spain, you could apply for the multiple entry tourist visa. That'll give you close to 9 months. Starts from day of issue.

You apply for a visa in the country you are in. You can also get a visa on arrival which is normally 15 days but has been temporarily increased to 30 through to the end of march, but unlike with a visa this can't be extended.

he's Indian, not Spanish, so he needs either a tourist visa or get a visa on arrival, which is for 30 days and costs 2k baht I believe
