Im flying to kuala lumpur in a few days and will return on a tourist visa, then convert this to a ED visa with a reputable language school and then buy a 10y elite visa in a year once im sure i wanna stay here for good.

Now i came across this in the comment section in this group which states anyone with a ED visa in his passport is banned from the elite visa program for life.

Tried to exact match search the sentence but its nowhere to be found on the entire internet.

Anyone has verifiable information?

Firstly you need to find out your school is under the government and have the document or not?

If not , during you are staying in Thailand with the ed visa, you can apply the Elite visa,

and when you will get the elite visa Affixation which is the last step.

You need to leave from Thailand and back to Thailand to get the visa at either the Suwannaphumi Airport or Phuket Airport.

Ps. Before you leave, please do not apply for re-entry permit.

You can do it.

What you are reading is about converting in country. If you have a bogus visa you can't convert, need to leave and reenter.

I went to ALA in Bangkok with language ED then converted in country to Elite this year.

Contact Elite and tell them what your plans and name the school you will be attending..They will tell you what is required to ensure you will be able to apply for the Elite Visa when you're ready. At ALL COSTS AVOID AGENTS!!!
