Most people visiting Thailand are tourists with Return tickets.

Whether 30 day no visa or 30 day+ no problem.

But in general, if you have a SINGLE ticket and NO VISA the airline and Immigration may ask for proof of exit, ie onward ticket.

The airline normally checks.

Immigration may check too.

If you have a visa the check is unlikely, but no guarantees.
