Didn't need notarization in Taiwan when I did it.

Likely possible if you have a business license, federal tax EIN, and write a letter from your company that states your persoanl responsibility, your monthly income, and that you are allowed to work remotely to complete your role. Sign it.

I used the official rate provided through Currency app. Their data is sourced from the European Central Bank with 0% commission. (Normal setting is 0.5% commission) I opened the app in front of them and we looked at the balance of each account and she wrote it down next to my USD balance

The Bangkok Bank rate includes a 0.5 baht per USD commission built in.

But honestly they don't care that much which bank conversion rate you use. No point to overthink this

i used an app on my phone. I don't think it matters which you use as long as it's the official rate

I got my dtv there. I did not translate. Everything was English.

We did look up currency exchange rates and the staff there wrote the baht equivalent to USD was on my statements.

I'm from USA and took a trip from Thailand to Taipei to get my DTV. Jakarta is another good choice. Note: requirements, rules for residency, how long it takes to get approval, etc

Those are two separate requirements.... 500k baht equivalent in a bank account AND show that you are receiving pay/salary etc . The pay doesn't have to equal 500k, they just want to see that you're truly a remote worker, getting paid and can support your living costs while in Thailand

90 day reporting is the same for either of those visas.
