the car registration people told me that I need new plates because registering in Chon Buri instead of Bangkok... I assumed that this was correct info since it was from the officials but... 😅
I have a 2 bedroom 2 bath 60sq m condo with lots of sunshine from the floor to ceiling windows on 3 walls. I keep my condo at 25 C most of the time. Running two medium efficiency AC units at 4 baht /kwh. My monthly bill is around 2400 baht.
Water cost is next to nothing. 70 -100 baht per month.
banks push you to buy an insurance policy when you get a bank account. They earn a commission from the sales and this is one factor that helps them "decide" to open the account
Anonymous participant I tried to answered your original question. I have the DTV and purchased a secondhand vehicle. The plates on the car were from a different province so I had to apply for new plates with a new number and everything. I am getting the new white plates without any issues. The process takes a couple months.
I haven't purchased a new vehicle or had to convert from red to white so I don't have experience with that. Where did you get the information about not being able to convert red plates to white? Are you 100% sure that is accurate?
You can visit and ask at dozens and dozens of different bank branches until you find one that will allow it (not easy) or get an agent and have it within a few hours for an additional $125 usd (approximately). Either way, will likely need to buy the insurance so that is the same either way.
