I understood your comment perfectly the first time. It was a factually incorrect comment regarding Nong Khai border. How full your passport is, how much overstay stamps you have, and so on, does not change anything at Nong Khai border. There is no such thing as grilling people at that border. And no such thing as asking any of the 3 proof of. I live near that border and know how it operate very well. They do not ask you any question at all. All you need is the TM6 and your passport. That's it. The officer won't ask you a single question there.

I live close to the Nong Khai border. You do NOT need any of the 3 proof of to border bounce that border. Being crossing it 20 times if not more, with an extensive passport history. They do not ask any question nor care how many overstays you have or how many volunteers and ed visas you have in your passport. And the TM6 you can write whatever it does not matter. And how long you stay in Laos also doesn't matter, can be 15 min.

There is no issue entering from Nong Khai regardless of if you are on visa exempt or not. I live close to that border and I've entered at least 20 times. On the entry card (I think you mean TM6) you can write whatever you want including a random hotel address. It does not matter.

This is factually incorrect. They do not ask for any of the 3 proof of in Nong Khai.

The part about staying only 6 months out of 12 ("I saw a post"). And the part about 800k in account. With an agent, you don't need the money in the account part. Ofc you pay a premium to get said visa.

Everyone you got told, Wendy, is factually incorrect. There is no such rules.

Nong Khai and Mukdahan are a piece of cake (with no proof of funds or wtv ever asked). I've crossed these border a lot in the last 12 years.

Exchanging THB for LAK on the Thai side is a rookie mistake. LAK is a dead currency outside of Laos. The rate in Laos is better than XE.

You are both right and wrong. The price depend of your passport origin.

Visa exempt, Tourist Visa, Volunteer Visa, Non-O (Marriage). But 80% of it was visa exempt or tourist visa. I'm currently on Single Entry Non-O but before that I did 2x visa exempt by land in 2023. Fear mongering is counter productive and mostly factually incorrect. What matter is not google or what a 65 years old angry old fart who haven't done a visa run in 20 years think. What matter is a mix of personal experience and report from people who did said visa or border run. You will notice in this group that the reports are always from BKK, Phuket and Poipet, never from anywhere else. The small anecdotal evidences from any other port of entry has been debunked everytime it's been presented (whether because of person was trying a 3rd land entry on visa exempt in a calendar year or didn't have 20k baht).
