Hi all. My husband and I are planning to move to Thailand soon, initially coming on tourist visas. We've heard that before being granted a one-year visa, immigration typically issues a 3-month visa while you wait for your actual residency permit. My question is, will I be able to be attached to the 3-month Non-B visa? I work remotely and don't plan to get a separate visa, so I would be on my his visa. I'm concerned that if I can't join the Non-B visa, I might have to leave and re-enter Thailand, which I'd like to avoid.Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

We were thinking of dividing our time between Thailand and Vietnam. Rather than getting the 0 visa and having to tie up 800k thb, we were thinking of entering Thailand with a 60-day tourist visa, extending it once for 30 more days, then spending the next 3 months in Vietnam and returning to Thailand with another 60-day visa + 30 day extension.

I saw a post saying that you can't spend more than 3 months in the country on a tourist visa within any 6-month period, so this route may not be possible? If this is the case, is getting the multiple-entry 0 visa the best way to stay longer? We would prefer not to tie up 800k/pp in a bank if we can avoid it.

We're US citizens, age 50+.

TIA.

Greetings once again!

May some one please help with clear info regarding a marriage visa. We have completed all the paperwork necessary and i think im at the last stage of getting it all done.

Currently, my documents are with the local District office; letter from the British Embassy, Translated and Certified and the (Thai) wife-to-be ID etc as well.

Docs are under review/ "checking" at the district office as of today. We've been told that it take 3-4 weeks before we get them back with an actual date to get the marriage done and the certificate issued.

Now, I only have about 3 weeks remaining on my tourist stamp and i am looking for the best route to proceed here.

The TVC Agent suggested getting a Non Immigrant O visa for about 28k -and then the marriage visa for an additional 38k. We have all the docs and money just about ready- (money still needs to be deposited), so it seems a little expensive at this point to complete the final step.

TVC also did mention a 60day "Family visit" visa, which i presume i can obtain once i have the marriage certificate? I have a question regarding that; once i obtain the certificate, hopefully before my 3 weeks are up, may i then do a border bounce giving me more time to get the marriage visa done?

Your input is highly appreciated.

Hello all,

How often per year or in which time Intervalls you can apply for the METV?

Does it make a difference when applying how long you stayed in Thailand with the last METV?

Therefore would it be possible to stay the full length of the METV (9 months) in Thailand EVERY Year in a row? (9 month Thailand, 3 month abroad, 9 month Thailand, 3 month abroad and so on…)

I have a 1 year multiple entry visa based on marriage to a Thai from Savannakhet in Laos (Non Imm O).

I need to do a 90 day border bounce to get my next 90 days and was hoping to do it at the Cambodian border (Arranyapathet / Poipet).

Is it possible to bounce in the same day or would I need to spend the night in Cambodia as I’ve read on a few other posts ?

Many thanks in advance.

I got my extension to Non O visa[over 50] this month and changed provinces this week. New condo managers have done TM 30 but now I learn there is a form 28 notification of change of address that may be required. I have tried to find info on thai immigration website but no luck. Anyone know if this form is still current and if so can you do it online

Hi I have a question,

I am on a Non Immigrant-B visa

and also have a work permit.

Both would need renewal/expire

in April next year.

I plan to leave Thailand in December 21st to move back to the UK. My employer/manager has agreed to me leaving the company etc.

Now there was a previous post about needing a letter of termination from the employer.

What would my situation be? Do I simply leave and the exit stamp just voids the visa and work permit?

Or must I take other action to terminate them and state that I won’t be continuing until the expiry?

Please let me know.

Many thanks,

Alex.

Hello everyone,

I am waiting on my work permit as I started teaching at a school. I have just been informed that they do not support dependant visas and I need possible solutions from some wise individuals.

My wife is Malaysian and I am British, what solutions are there to our current strife?

Please help

Just extended my tourist exemption for another 30 days. Done all the paperwork to be able to marry my Thai girlfriend soon. Doing it this month but I just wanted to check I can apply for a 90 day o visa. As what was stamped in my passport seems strict.
