Inquiry for DTV visa cancellation process

I’m planning to apply for a Non-Immigrant B visa for work.

Currently, I hold a DTV visa issued by the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

I’ve tried to check the DTV cancellation process:

♦️I asked immigration officers in Chiang Mai, but they said they aren’t fully sure. They told me my DTV will be automatically cancelled when I enter Thailand with a new visa from outside the country.

♦️I also emailed the Phnom Penh Thai Embassy for clarification but haven’t received any reply.

⚠️Recently, I applied for a Non-B visa in Laos, but my application was cancelled (as shown in the screenshot).

They said "my passport bio page image was unclear, even after I re-submitted it in JPEG format.

and in addition you still have DTV and IB visa issued from Thailand Embassy in Phnom Penh. Please contact them to cancel them before you entering Thailand with a new visa. "

Is there anything I can do here in Laos to resolve the DTV visa issue, without needing to travel back to the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh for cancellation?

But Phnom Penh Thailand embassy hasn’t replied to my emails, and I am currently in Laos.

For context, my visa history is:

1st Non-B → then DTV in cambodia, Phnom Penh→ now applying for Non-B in Laos, Vientiane.

So I’m wondering:

👉 Has anyone experienced the same issue when switching from DTV to Non-B visa?

👉 Is there anything I should prepare or be careful about regarding the DTV cancellation or passport submission before applying my non b visa again ?

Any information or advice would be really appreciated. Thank you! 🙏

Hello guys,

I applied for DTV visa but i still have a valid multiple entry tourist visa for Thailand. Does anyone know if I can go to thailand with the valid tourist visa while DTV is still pending?

Can I leave Thailand to reenter with the newly approved DTV visa after my tourist visa expires?

I'm on a 60 day visa exempt entry (Australian Resident) and I arrived 8th August, due to leave Thailand 6th October.

Im staying in Udon Thani and I want to apply for a 30 day extension.

Question; when can I apply for the extension, do I have to wait for the last day of my 60 day exempt entry or can I apply earlier? Is the process fast and easy?

Thanks in advance.

DTV application question: I plan to do it in Indonesia (Bali or Jakarta, not sure if it matters), is it risky if I apply myself or should I do it through an agency? How long does it take to process the visa from Indonesia? Whats the success rate if I apply under Muay Thai vs Cooking class (preferred for me, i actually love cooking)?

If I go with an agency, which ones are reliable and has a decent price? I talked to an agency and their price is more than other ones and they said I can only go do it in Vietnam (don't prefer to go bc it traumatized me a little in the past) and only apply for Muay thai bc they have a partnership and that cooking classes won't get approved. I feel like they just want me to do this so their partner gets my money for muay thai (my partner wants to do muay thai but I don't bc i am unable to do it physically due to health reasons and I've done it in the past when I was able to).

Also if I opt for a cooking class like do I have to look for a place that would agree that I would use them for a DTV visa? Whats the success rate for this? I'm actually serious about cooking though, how come muay thai always gets approved and cooking classes don't have the same success rate?

Let me know if you have successfully applied from Indonesia with a cooking class or muay thai option or any good agencies (not willing to spend a lot for this since I can technically do it myself).

Thanks

My husband and I currently hold DTV visas under digital nomad category because we are remote workers. we had our thai bank accounts opened at KrungThai with our previous student visas a year ago. Recently, his Krungthai “Next” mobile application crashed because of some bugs. So, he needs help with logging into his mobile application again at the bank. However, Krungthai banks keep denying to help logging in again because of new policy or something. Does anyone know any Krungthai bank branch that is foreigner-friendly or DTV-friendly?

Chiang Mai, visa exempt (60).

Where do you go to extend (30)?

Anything specific to CM to be aware of? (Only ever extended in Bangkok previously).

Thanks in advance!

Maybe a dumb question but here it is anyway :

Since Thailand is talking again about changing their 60 day policy to 30 days , I’d end up doing a 30 + 30 day extension when travelling there later this year.

Are there any repercussions for overstaying by 1 or 2 days ?

Looking at flights and with my dates it’s a better deal to stay the 61 or 62 days.

Thanks in advance

Applied for DTV recently as Digital Nomad, but I was asked about providing Letter of Confirmation stating that the applicant is permitted to work remotely … signed by authorized person and bear the official company seal.

I have my own one person company providing consultancy. Should I authorize myself? I don’t have a seal as I’m fully digital. What kind of document do they exactly ask for? Does anyone know?

Thanks from the mountain
