I plan to come back before my visa expires if I can apply for a one year extension. I need to leave by the second because my existing passport expires then. That’s why I got an extension to stay until the second. Basically I want to get another one year non Immigrant O visa and want to know can I do this in Thailand or do I need to do it in say Singapore reply etc.

I need to leave before the 2nd May with a new passport then come back in.

My wife runs the company and I do all maintenance work etc basically keep everything running. And we also own a large Fishfarm that I run too. But it’s not under a Ltd company.

Really? So I can just go along and apply for a work permit?

I have an update for those interested. I can come to Maptaput with either a marriage cert or child’s birth cert and get an extension up to two months or up to the expiry date of the passport which ever comes first.

If no marriage or birth cert of children they would only give me seven days.

I’m surprised they didn’t pull me up on that when I flew in last time. Basically I I’m thinking to try get extension from maptaput of two weeks to get a new passport or I’m going to need to fly home to NZ. Cross fingers for me tomorrow.
