Can I transfer my Thai one-year visa to a new passport?
Hi I have a question.
I have a Thai one year visa in my passport. I need to get a new passport. Is it possible to have that visa some how put into my new passport?

If you hold a Multiple Entry 1-Year Non-Immigrant Visa sticker in your current passport, it cannot be transferred to a new passport; you will need to carry both passports when traveling. However, if you have an Extension of Stay stamp from Immigration, it can be transferred to your new passport by visiting the immigration office.

If you have a Multiple Entry 1 year Non Immigrant Visa sticker in your passport it can not be transferred to your new passport. You use both passport when travel. If you have an 1 year Extension of Stay stamp from Immigration you can transfer this stamp at Immigration office to your new passport.

Take old and new passport with a letter of authenticity from your embassy to Chiang Wattana, they will transfer it over for you

, that is NOT correct in every situation. The O/P has a one year VISA <- issued from a thai conuslate in another country. A visa cannot be transferred to another passport, and if it's still valid you use BOTH passports to enter/exit the country getting stamped in and out on the new passport until the visa in the old one expires..
