. Ah ok. 50+ the visa world opens up to you. If you're learning Thai language, I believe you can get up to a year. There are volunteer foundations, but the work might not be exactly where you want to be
Never forget Thai immigration is up there with German bureaucracy when it comes to being anal. The letter you mail in "should" be postmarked 15 days out. I'm not saying it won't work, but personally I wouldn't risk it, because if whoever opens it sees that it's more than 15 days before the due date, it will most probably be returned to you as being outside the window. Why not just get it all ready, and pin it to your front door with a note saying "post on xx date" to remind you?
Klint Rock. That's true. If you're not getting an ED extension, you can still get the 7-day "refusal" extension from the date of expiry of your visa. The covid extensions might be extended, but you're always better off to at least have a Plan B. We'll know in a few weeks anyway if it will be kicked out a bit longer
It is totally impossible to get any form of tourist visa in-country. Suggest you get a 60 day covid extension before 29 July. With the continual mounting numbers here, Thailand may follow Vietnam's lead and start kicking people out!
Andi On Tour. There's no 90-day stamp in your passport. It's a different area of immigration. It's the left hand! The right hand takes the 2000 baht fine! 🤣🤣🤣
