Quick question: is it ok to mail in the 90 Days Report to Bangkok immigration 24 days before the due date? They specify at least 15 days before the due, but I didn't see if there's any problem mailing it "too early".

Just trying to get it over with before they keep closing more stuff and end up having to go to MTT...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question raised whether it is permissible to mail the 90 Days Report to Bangkok immigration 24 days prior to the deadline. Community members shared various experiences; while some have sent reports earlier without issues, others advised caution due to strict postmark regulations. Experiences varied, with mentions of successfully mailing documents as early as 23 days before the due date without receiving complaints, yet others warned about potential rejections. The consensus seems to be that while it might be okay based on past instances, it cannot be guaranteed and might depend on individual circumstances.

then you need to check with them to see if you can mail in your 90 day report

Not all offices allow it :/

Each immigration office has their own policies about the 90 day report; ask your immigration office what their policy is.

My experience, I always mail mine in 2 weeks in advance, I use EMS both to send & receive. Cost about 100b

Good luck

For Bangkok:

I sent one for my daughter 23 days before the due date and the slip came back without any note that it's too early. Last time when the online system didn't work (showing overstay in their system = not updated), I mailed it on -15 with a note explaining the situation. And the slip was sent back with a note saying something like don't be late next time (no fine).

At this moment, I'm still waiting for the slip I mailed on June 14th which is -22 days, delivered to the immigration on -20, the documents I sent wasn't returned telling me it's too early. So I presume they are processing it.

That's my experience, and there's no guarantee it won't get rejected but hope this helps.

Thank you, I actually used to get notices of "don't be late next time" when I sent it perfectly on time, so it's not like they are too reliable. I will try and see, last time I mailed it in it took forever for them to send it back too

Never forget Thai immigration is up there with German bureaucracy when it comes to being anal. The letter you mail in "should" be postmarked 15 days out. I'm not saying it won't work, but personally I wouldn't risk it, because if whoever opens it sees that it's more than 15 days before the due date, it will most probably be returned to you as being outside the window. Why not just get it all ready, and pin it to your front door with a note saying "post on xx date" to remind you?

Maybe just write "don't open until (whatever date is 15 days before your 90)"

Like a fun Christmas or birthday surprise, lol

Just curious, is this a joke comment, or actual advice?

@Benjamin *****
I don't see the harm in trying it 🤷🏼‍♀️
Benjamin ******
@Chelsea *******
And how would you write "do not open until date ___ " in Thai, since the people in the Thai immigration mailroom may not know English (depending on how the mail is routed)?

@Benjamin *****
... I would write it like this:

รอเปิดทำการเมื่อ: 29ก.ค2564

Or something similar.

make the final decision if this is something that should be tried, or if it might cause more confusion.

shouldn't be a problem but I dunno really. No one ever wanted to mail one in that early. All you can do is try it and see if it works.
