Mikaela Kwee. The charge sits in "pending" for several days. Before it is cleared the refund has already been processed. Plus you have around 25 days from the end of the billing cycle to pay the balance and incur no credit charges. Easy!
Greg Wieder. You don't need a return ticket. An onward ticket to any destination will suffice. Happened twice to me and had to buy a ticket at the airport. I just bought an expensive fully-refundable ticket, and cancelled it before the charge hit my credit card. Too easy
You can't go on to covid extension. You're on a non-immigrant visa so covid extension no longer available to you. Talk to your employer and see if you can get the paperwork done in fast time, otherwise it's a trip out of the country!
Yes the conditions changed at the last application date January 25. If you were on a non-immigrant visa prior to going onto your first covid extension, you can no longer extend. If you cannot apply for a new non-immigrant visa in-country, you must leave. If you are coming off a tourist visa/visa exempt you can apply, but it is at the discretion of the immigration office, and many are requesting a letter from your embassy stating it is not possible for you to return to your home country, and some are asking for proof of an outbound flight. Which visa were you on before covid extension?
Your only in-country solution would have been the Elite Visa, but I think you've left your run too late for that. You may have to return to your home country to apply for a Thailand pass, as I don't think any nearby countries are allowed non-vaxxed to enter.
