Am I still able to get COVID extensions? I was previously on a Smart VISA and I have heard rule changes mean I will no longer be eligible for COVID extensions.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The eligibility for COVID extensions in Thailand has been restricted primarily to those who entered on a visa exemption or a tourist visa. Since you hold a Smart Visa, you may not qualify for these extensions. It is advisable to apply for a non-immigrant visa before your current status expires to avoid receiving a 'seven days to leave' stamp.

You can try to get a non-immigrant visa before your covid extension expires. Otherwise you'll get a "seven days to leave" stamp

The only people eligible for Covid extension right is those who entered on visa exempt or a tourist visa.

: I heard it’s only people that entered on a TR visa (60 day tourist visa) and it has to be a visa that has already been extended by 30 days.

visa exempt qualifies as well and yes they both have to use their 30 day extension before they can apply for the Covid extension
