Your original statement was “You can not open a bank account on a tourist visa” Suggesting it’s not possible anywhere.

Looking like you don’t like to be seen as wrong, just accept you were. No need to try get a ‘draw’ 🤦‍♂️

The insurance part is just a money making scheme, which they deem to be a fair trade for opening an account for you on a TV.

Not the exception at all! They will however, make you buy 1 yr accident insurance for between 3k - 5k bht. Alternative is go through an agent for similar cost. Same same but different.
