Not Thai related sorry.

UK passport holder and I’m going to Laos for a few days by air. Will be getting a visa on arrival but been told the cost is $35 and $40 by different sources.

Anyone been recently and can confirm the actual price please?

Hello everyone. 🙂

I flew in and received a 60 day visa exempt on UK passport.

I want to extend for another 30 days, making total 90 days.

Can this be done from your first day of arrival onwards or does it have to be towards the end of the 60 day visa exempt to get the full additional 30 days extension?

Also am I best to extend in Patong office or when I go to Koh phangan? Is there one thats quicker and more efficient you would choose?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice or input. 🙏🏼😊

With regards to the Jakarta embassy does one just walk in there for a visa appointment? No need to book in advance?

And can a UK Passport holder make the DTV application there?

Same questions for Vientiane and Yangon.

hi! (uk passport holder) so mid april - may i arrived on 30 days, extended by 30 but had 2 days overstay & paid the fine (local immigration closed & i had to travel to the nearest one), then did cambodia for 30days, and came back to thailand for another 30. im now doing 45 days in vietnam and plan to return to thailand so i can be there for november & christmas, but want to stay as long as possible. what is the earliest date i can return? assuming i need to do 1 more country before i can return, if im wanting to be there for christmas time, and with the 60days on arrival, does this mean you can extend it to 90? thank you! 🙏🙏

Hi all,

Looking for visa advice regarding a future trip.

I have visited Thailand a couple of times for 2 week stays, but have just booked flights for myself and girlfriend for a 72 day trip at the start of next year.

Just wondering which type of visa is suitable and best way to arrange it.

Another thing to consider is that we may also want to travel to Cambodia for a couple of weeks during that time...

**We are coming from England and holding UK passports.

If I failed to add other relevant information please let me know...**

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated! 🙏🙏🙏

hey! looking for some advice please 🙂 i’ve been travelling south east asia for almost 4 months now, and will keep country hopping until the new year. I have spent almost 4 months collectively in Thailand, and have absolutely fallen in love with the way of life, culture, the people & scenery, and just can’t see myself returning to the western world. I started my own business so can work remotely from anywhere now, and am looking/hoping to be in thailand more long term , or atleast work towards doing so, what are my options visa wise?

i am a uk passport holder. i would love to find a way to stay just in thailand for a year or two once my journey is done, from experience, what are my options? (i am fully aware i can’t just move here forever unless i have lots of savings)

not in any way trying to cheat the system before i get those comments, i know there are numerous visa types and have met alot of fellow young people that have moved over here who are also business owners or remote workers, so there must be a more ‘official’ way to stay longer term, so please no suggestions of constant border runs etc, im wanting to set new goals based on what requirements i need to meet to make my time here more long term 🙂

i’m aware of the new digital nomad visa is extendable for upto 5 years but unsure on meeting the requirements, for other people with experience, how have you moved to Thailand & what visa did you use? yes i have used google but id like to hear from people’s experience🥰thanks so much!🙌
