amazon charges shipping, tax and customs up front. If the charges are more, they eat that. If less they refund you in 60 days

they also tax the shipping, not on what you pay fedex etc but on an imputed price depending on the size of the package. It’s probably doable. I’ve bought many items from amazon USA btw , never had a problem
