I'm planning on returning to Thailand in late November. Does anyone know what kind of restrictions will be in place at that time, if any at all? Any advice would be good, as I'd like to book my ticket asap.
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community consensus indicates uncertainty about travel restrictions to Thailand in late November. Many comments express that it's too early to predict specifics, and even government information is subject to change. Comments also suggest not booking tickets yet and waiting until closer to the date for more reliable information. Regular updates and official announcements should be monitored to ensure accurate and timely travel plans.
What sort of a stupid person would pose a question such as this? W,hile your at it, ask if it will be raining on the Wednesday of the week that you land 🙄🙏
yes Emirates can forward it Flight ✈️ price hasn’t changed so I’ve taken a gamble and my holidays at work are fixed so I’ll take full responsibility if I can’t go 🤔🙏✈️😊
Rumors all day long, but just talking crap and a lot of ifs and but’s....
When it opens...I can guarantee You’ll Notice we’re back in business 👍

Damn just a thought if you don't know the answer, then just say you have no clue. No need for smart arse crystal ball or magic 8 answers. This is an advice groupe and not a piss take groupe after all
Watch for official announcements only and beware because they also are changing in a daily basis and not just in Thailand
Stay safe

It's a visa advice group, NOT a fortune telling group.
There isn't a person on this group has the slightest idea what the new entry requirements will be when/if they manage to get this country opened back up. :O
Right now it looks like they're slowly opening up and now foreigners married to thais can apply on a case by case basis to get back in BUT they need to apply for permission, have a negative covid test within 3 days of when they fly in, have 100K USD covid insurance, pay for the 14 day quarantine here out of their own pocket and even those people are still approved on a case by case basis
Now will they keep those requirements when they start letting tourists back in? Who knows..
as my comments came off crass and/or snarky that was not my intent. I only wanted to point out that we're 6 weeks away from the amnesty thailand gave foreigners here running out AND they just now started re-opening the country to select groups of foreigners.
It's way too soon in the game to start predicting what the entry policy will be like FIVE months from now.
For example, no one knew until yesterday (when they annouced it at the press conference) that they were going to open it up to foreigners married to thaiz, so the situation is quite fluid and only time will tell. :)

I am in the same boat, but am not planning on going back to Thailand until next year, or until they get their act together.
genuine question I thought. Sorry you felt the need to provide a stupid answer. No question is a stupid question, that's how we have got where we are today. By asking questions. Thanks anyway
the decisions by all governments are very fluid and unsrable on a daily nadis,, so who would knlw that far in advance? Even thai government wouldn't know... So tes, your questuon, even thought might be genuine, it lacjs common sense!
well common sense would suggest that as we are allowed to travel to other countries now I'm more than entitled to ask a question, that really only required a simple answer. No none of of know what is going on right. Rather than trying to make me look stupid for asking a simple question that only required an simple answer
Silly question,no one knows what’s happening now let alone November. Come on people have some common sense when post on here . I’m sure people post on here just to get a reaction. Can’t be that stupid surely
800k deposit or 65k/month income is not huge in the context of the article which is talking about targeting wealthy tourists. Anyone who routinely stays in four or five star hotels easily has that sort of money.
ᘻᗅᖶᖶᗁᕦᙛ *******
and yes in their eyes its huge sums of money
ᘻᗅᖶᖶᗁᕦᙛ *******
if you dont have at least a 65 000 bt pension or 800 000 bt in the bank its over for you lol
(1) these are not exactly huge sums of money for someone looking for long-term residency, (2) these were never required of tourists anyway, so not relevant to the discussion.
yes it is 65,000 a month pension or 800,000 in the bank that you have to prove that you have before you apply for a Visa is long-term. This is very relevant to the discussion
I have booked my flights from Birmingham UK 🇬🇧 to Bangkok 🇹🇭 via Dubai on 1st January 2021 returning on 21st February 2021 if I just can’t go I will take full responsibility so fingers Crossed 🤞🙏🇹🇭😊✈️
yes i came last December for a holiday been here ever since and very grateful they let me stay , beaches just opened here shopping centre and restaurants open, but bars and clubs all closed , very quiet no tourists and no flights in , so i am just sitting tight here and enjoying the sun , and there seems to be less virus case's in Thailand at present 🤔

Even if they open the border they will probably demand something from tourist, (deposit, insurance or certificate that you free of covid 19 etc.) i'm not planning anything untill everything will be back to normal.. Hopefully next year

The virus🧟♀️ has its own timeline,🤔 has made no plan👩🏫👩💼 and will do what we let it do by droping our gaurds. One Large religious gathering of any stripe, Musical or large sporting event, could change everthing 👨⚖️👩🏫👩💼6 hours before your planned departure or arrival. Keep an ear to the ground watch the trend and make your plan a few days before departure.

My guess is that no pizza will be allowed at that date!
I was going to start a business that charged 500k for the information that these people seem to want. And make an announcement date so they all get it as the same time.
Or maybe just sell the Intel to the highest bidder in an auction.
Because all of us obviously know everything that's going on even before the government has made a plan let alone an announcement.
