I applied in LA california embassy and accidentally sent documents in from my cash management fidelity investment account which is held in a bank with a debit card and routing number but is considered a brokerage account apparently. So they could potentially reject me or ask for the money to be shown in a traditional bank. In which case I would have to transfer the funds to my traditional bank. Show them a statement of the 500,000 but also submit 6 months of bank statements regardless of the amount. I have heard of people being accepted like that
It's different for different places sometime they do and sometimes they don't. I've heard people saying they wanted it in the bank for a certain amount of time and others who say they could transfer the money to an account show they had 500,000 but still had to provide 6 months of statements even if the amount wasn't 500,000 for 6 months. And still got approved. Might be good to email or contact the specific embassy you are applying to.
Congratulations! I am worried now because I applied through the Los Angeles Consulate also and the bank documents I submitted are with my Fidelity Investment Bank. The account I sent is a cash management account with only cash not in any investments like stocks, or bonds. It's a cash account in a bank with a debit card only USD. But the documents say Fidelity Investment because that is the name of the brokerage/bank. I really hope this isn't an issue because it's the only place I've had above 15k cash for over 6 months, and it's not like I can just move that money to another bank because it won't have been sitting in that bank for 6 months.
Right, I actually just purchased the Discover Thai nature course, and will be applying to the DTV through the LA thai embassy here in california online. I've seen others in america getting accepted with it.
And that is regardless of whether I have been to thailand in 2025 or not? Some info is saying its two visa exempt entries per calendar year I thought I even saw that on the embassy site
Thanks, I saw that exact comment in someone else's post and it is why I made this post😅well damn! I was also thinking about getting in on a visa exempt and applying for an education visa once I was there at a thai language school. If they let me in
Kinda what I'm thinking also. Well the first time I came I actually applied for a 60 day visa from cambodia with 30 day extension. And used 1 visa exempt after that.
