amazing news. Thanks so much for letting me know. That's gonna save a lot of stress. 1 week is much easier for me than 60 days and means I can relax for a bit when I get to phuket. This has made my day!

thanks. Yeah that's where I read about the 7 days seasoning but wasn't sure how accurate that source is. I guess I'll find out soon!

Thanks for clarifying. I've been getting that visa for a few years in krabi but just get confused by all the different visa types and terminology!

Also, sorry just thought of another question. My daughter's tabien baan is registered to Koh Lanta, Krabi - not Phuket - do you think this will matter for my extension application? We used to live on Koh Lanta but now we're going to be living on Phuket when we move back to Thailand (we've been living in the UK for the last year). Do you think I'll need to show her tabien baan when I apply for the extension or can I just show proof of where we're living in Phuket? Because it's kind of hard for me to get her a tabian baan when I'm not Thai and she lives with me. Eurgh, I'm excited to be living in Thailand again but I've got to be honest here, I've not missed this visa headache while I've been away for a year! 😀

Also is it a dependent visa that I'd be on? I'm never sure what the term is for the extension I get! This post says that officially there is no seasoning time for the 400k for extensions based on raising half-Thai children. But I used to get my extension in Krabi and they asked me to have the money in my bank for 60 days.

I don't think the British Embassy confirms proof of monthly income any more do they? It would make things much easier if they did!
